GET AWAY from the hustle & bustle of everyday life and spend quality time together in our Tuscany Country Getaway located in Valley Center, California in San Diego County. We are nestled among the lush citrus and avocado groves, vinyards and horse ranches. You will often hear the sounds of Hawks and Eagles soaring through the blue skies from the PRIVATE DECK of this beautiful & spacious AND PRIVATE 1 BR 1BA with a fabulous 180 degree mountain views. If you have ever been to the Tuscany region of Italy, you will feel as if you have arrived.out in the countryside of Tuscany. We are out here on almost 3 Acres so our neighbor properties are all spaced well. You can self check in. and curl up and read a good book, watch a good movie and enjoy our deck, take long walks on meandering country roads and cook in our full kitchen.
CLEANING - Just a note on cleaning procedures. We are very meticulous as we use a Commercial Grade Viricidal / Germicidal on all floors. We use Clorox Disinfectant Wipes on all surfaces and door-nobs. All sheets and towels are washed in a Commercial front loader. Larger bedding pieces are washed on the highest heat setting in our commercial Speed Queen and usually hung over railing to dry to get the UV light until dry. All mattress covers are sprayed with Lysol or QD-64, a germicidal. All sofa / loveseat and dinette seats have coverlets that are washed between all guests. We have available: Clorox Disinfecting Wipes, Lysol Spray, Hand Sanitizer, Anti-bacterial hand Soap, and a Commercial Grade Viricidal / Germicidal spray.
ACTIVITIES / ATTRACTIONS / THINGS TO DO - CLOSE TO SOOOO MUCH! yet out and away.!! Only 10 Min. to easy freeway accessibility leading you to San Diego Zoo and Safari, Sea World, Legoland, museums, Down town San Diego Area, The Birch Aquarium in La Jolla, beaches galore, golf courses galore, Palomar Observatory, The Wine Tasting Safari, Wine Country Trails by Horseback - http://www.winecountrytrailsbyhorseback.com/ and balloon rides and more. These destinations range approx. 30 Min. to 1 hr. in trip time. There is so much more to see & do. Please see my REVIEW GUIDE to find more Local Attractions (mostly within the 15 - 30 Min. time frame.) Also see the other attractions that are about 1 hr - 2 hrs. away such as Disneyland and Knotts Berry Farm.
WEATHER is fabulous, mostly in the 70's even in the winter. In the summer we have warmer temperatures 80's, 90's rarely over 95 degrees and because we are 1,300 ft. above sea level we have a cool ocean breeze most of the time. Being less than 35 min. from Southern California beaches gives us the best of both climates because we are far enough from the ocean to escape most of the fog, clouds, and crowds yet close enough to enjoy the cool breezes in the heat of summer. Included are central heat and air conditioning if it does get too hot.
PRIVATE DECK with a great 180 degree mountain and grove views. Sit out and relax on cushy deck furniture watch the hawks and take in the peace and tranquility surrounding you.
KITCHEN comes fully equipped with all stainless steel appliances and granite counter tops in addition to the smaller appliances ie: blender, 3 different coffee machines: a Cuisinart full pot coffee maker and bean grinder, a Keuirig 1 -cup coffee maker including K-cups, a Nespresso machine so bring your own favorite pods, hand mixer, etc. There is a LG oven/Cooktop and microwave, and a GE dishwasher together with a purified R.O. water system. The kitchen is stocked with some spices and basic condiments.
SLEEPS 4 / MASTER BEDROOM / QUEEN SLEEPER / OTHER OPTIONS - From the master bedroom there are BEAUTIFUL mountain views from the large windows installed with cellular shades and curtains for darkening. There is a king size bed with a 2" memory foam topper, full length Mirror together with a quiet sitting area next to the window where you can curl up & read a good book. In addition, we have 2 storage areas (good for your suitcases) with plenty of room to accommodate a longer stay. QUEEN SLEEPER - SLEEPS AN ADDED 2 MORE - In the living area which has a 5" Memory Foam mattress. OTHER SLEEPING OPTIONS: We also have the option of 2 double bed size 4" high density foam pieces enclosed in sheets to place anywhere with added sheets to fit. Also a single wide Foam fold-out pad for anyone for simplicity in folding and picking up out of the way.
LIVING / ENTERTAINMENT area is set up with a flat screen T.V. with a DVD player & surround sound system. We have a wide variety of DVD's available together with a large variety of games for quiet nights indoors. For indoor entertainment the room is set up with a Roku Box where you can stream movies and the latest news clips if you have your own Netflix or Hulu, Prime account and more. If you don't have an Netflix account, Netflix offers a one month Free one month trial and Hulu offers a free 7 day trial and they have alot of programs from Sports to alot of T.V. programs which is easy to sign up for.
BATHROOM accommodates a shower over tub that is complete with safety handrails and a hand-held showerhead for convenience. We supply towels, body wash and a hair dryer. The vacation rental is also equipped with your own private washer and dryer.
OFFICE AREA is complete with free WIFI/LAN hookups an office chair and a hugh granite desk with plenty of lighting, drawers and Built in filing cabinets giving you plenty of work space. We have good speeds as alot of our guests have stayed and worked remotely.
SPA (Private)BBQ/ PLENTY OF PARKING is below the deck. Around the spa is a private full patio, seating area, private parking and grassy area to play lawn games or just relax while barbecuing. An Umbrella is available at your request .

My husband Larry and I and my son started our lives out in a suburban area in Orange County, CA and then moved to another Suburban area in the San Diego area. After about 14 years of Suburban living, my son was young and I had a growing concern about raising my son in the Suburban jungle and was craving something different. We had become apart of a "Married For Life" group that met in Fallbrook, CA which was a beautiful area with a small town atmosphere. We decided to sell our current home and began looking in the Fallbrook area. We put in an offer on a house and it didn't work out so we continued to look. We sold our house and began to rent while we were looking. Not too far from Fallbrook, we found Valley Center and made an offer on another house but it didn't work out. We loved Valley Center and started attending this little country church with a dear Pastor by the name of , Dwayne Carter, a dear man, who unbeknown to us, turned out to be an Award Winning Architect . He knew we were sort of homeless ( living in an Apt., partially living with Mom) and he suggested we look into buying some land. He took an interest in us and would just start drawing up plans as we told him what we wanted. He encouraged us for we were alittle scared to buy and build our own home. As he suggested, we searched & found a beautiful piece of land with gorgeous mountain views and we built our Dream Home which has been and still is, a Dream Come True. When we moved in, I could hardly believe it, I had to pinch myself for I thought I had died and gone to heaven. What kept me sober was the horrible loss of this dear man Pastor Dwayne, who we grew to know and love along with his wife, Lani who attached herself to us and has become my very best friend. We now consider her part of our family. We are so blessed to be able to share this bit of heaven with family and friends. We hope you will enjoy your stay with us and we look forward to serving you as our special guests.

We chose Valley Center because of it's gorgeous topography. We were longing for the Country with wide open spaces with Hills, Mountains, Groves and Ranches. Homes are spread out on a couple acres each rather than crammed together. We were ready to move out of the Suburban Jungle and make a new life. Valley Center is everyone's idea of a small town with farms, horse ranches, pumpkin fields, rodeos, Western Days Parade, quaint shops, family owned restaurants, historical sites and good people. The more I live here, the more I appreciate how it is. There is enough depersonalizing in life where you feel like a number, but here they know who you are in the Bank, in the Pharmacy, at the Doctor's Office, at the Eye Doctor's, at the Hardware store and on and on.
What makes this Apartment unique
When I am in Valley Center, I feel like I am worlds away from the crazy busy life I used to have in the Suburbs. On almost 3 Acres, this Getaway will automatically help you to just relax with the peace and tranquility all around. The Mountain & Grove Views give you a sense of Ahhhhhh. Put some Steaks on the BBQ and then sit out on the Deck with your dinner and enjoy the views. Most evenings, it is warm enough to sit on the deck and watch the most beautiful sunsets and cloud formations as well as the birds & some wildlife. After it gets dark, step into the private Spa and enjoy some Star Gazing, you can actually see the stars out where we are. There is a lack of light pollution which allows you to see the stars alittle better. If the weather is not quite warm enough, enjoy cooking inside with a Fully equipped Kitchen complete with cookbooks, Blender & more. Snuggle up on the couch and watch a good movie or go to bed early and have a great night of sleep in the super comfortable King Size Bed.
