Hello and thank you for inquiring about my home in the Red Mountain Ranch Golf, Tennis and Pickleball Development in Mesa, AZ. I've owned the home since 2021 but have only lived there full time for only 2+ years. My cat and I travel back and forth from Colorado depending on the season. Generally, I'm at the home from late October until early May at which time I do lease the home out on an AirBnB type shared situation. I can lease 1 bedroom, 2 bedrooms, or 2 bedrooms and the loft, depending on the situation. For 1 guest, I'm generally @ $100/night and for 2 guests $125--$150/night depending on various circumstances; time of year, length of stay, # of people, amenities needed, etc..
Guests obviously have access to the entire home while visiting. I've leased it out for 3-4 nights in some cases, as well as > 3 months in other cases. I've had LPGA pros and their caddies stay with me, students from the Philippines, retirees escaping the Chicago winters, family reunions, insurance cases, wedding parties, job transfers, Cactus League fans, you name it. Reach out to further explore the options. Matt

From May--October the home is vacant and available for lease. You would have the home to yourself and rates would vary depending on circumstances: length of stay, # of people, possible pets, time of year, etc...Generally, I'm in the $65--$95/night range + utilities during the offseason. I would charge a $750.00 damage deposit and $200.00 cleaning fee. If interested in discussing your specific travel plans, please reach out. Matt

Originally developed by Mobil Oil Development Corporation, the area is home to many year-around and seasonal residents. There are over 1665 homes in the Red Mountain Ranch community. 5 Different developments exist here with homes ranging from $325,000 to well over $1 million.
Red Mountain Ranch Country Club features a private 18 hole championship golf course designed by Pete Dye. This home is located on the 2nd hole. Seasonal visitors can purchase a Guest Access Pass from the Country Club that will allow them to enjoy all the club's facilities including finely maintained tennis courts, pickelball courts, junior Olympic-sized pool and Jacuzzi, fitness center, dining room and active social calendar. The Golf Course is public and can be played for a fee. The clubhouse, bar, and restaurant are open to the public as well, without a Guest Access Pass, for lunch and dinner. The main clubhouse is a short 4 block walk from the house.
This home was built in 1993, purchased originally by Joe Speciale, who hails from New Jersey. Joe bought the property with the intention of retiring here. He owned it for 8 years coming out only in the winter for several weeks at a time for golf and relaxation. Instead of retiring here, he instead opted to invest in a restaurant his son bought back in New Jersey and sold the home to me in 2001. The restaurant went bankrupt.
The Navajo rugs on the walls and throughout the home are all original, hand woven from different Tribes: Ganado, Two Grey Hills, and Tec Nos Pos. Many of the Indian artifacts you’ll see are original and discovered personally during backcountry excursions throughout the Southwest. You’ll see prints from world renowned artists like Bev Doolittle and Frank Howell as well as intricate sand paintings throughout the home. And don’t miss the original ‘Route 66’ sign in the loft office, found while hiking by the Laguna Pueblo off I-40 (the replacement for Route 66) in New Mexico over 20 years ago.
Being from Florida, I couldn’t help but include a few touches of my youth including the 4 ½ foot, 36 lb. Barracuda that currently resides over the loft window. It was caught off the east coast of Florida while deep sea fishing with my brothers and father. You’ll also see multiple aquatic tenants residing on the wall at the top of the stairs, several from artists down in Mexico.
Having played basketball in college at University of Denver and overseas professionally in Portugal, you’ll see several pictures, books and memorabilia of that nature about the house as well. The loft library consists mostly of sports books for the like-minded. Please help yourself.
And the cat garb: My cat travels with me here and has spent many a day, doing what cats do best…..…sleeping and chasing critters out on the golf course. So don’t fret if you see a stray cat hair once in a while. Goes with the territory.
Please make yourself at home and treat the home as you would your own. I’m confident you will find all the amenities available to make your stay both enjoyable and unforgettable. Only 2 house rules really--No smoking in the home and please take your shoes off when entering. Thank you.
