Welcome to “The Nest” – a place of rest, relaxation, and comfortable lodging!! Come enjoy our cozy cabin nestled in the woods. Whether coming for a weekend or week, you’ll enjoy the secluded location for your getaway. Relax on the deck grilling out, watching the birds, reading a book, or just hanging out. Inside the cabin you can enjoy movies, HD antenna reception for the following channels ..ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC, NBC Weather and CW, and the view from the large window overlooking the deck and woods. On cool evenings, you can enjoy a fire in the fire pit. Linens are provided for your convenience. You have access to the river at the foot of the mountain for picnics, swimming, tubing, canoeing, or fishing.
There are many activities just a short drive away - The Massanutten Four Seasons Ski Resort/Indoor water park is 14 miles away, The Thornton Gap entrance to the Shenandoah National Park is 25 miles away, Luray Caverns is 15 miles away, and the George Washington National Forest Storybook Trail is 14 miles away. There are also plenty of antique shops and local restaurants nearby.

Hubby wanted to unplug and relax for his birthday- this is the perfect place for that! Admittedly, the first trip up to the cabin was worrying( in a Hyundai accent!) but its easily mastered and part of the fun. The view was fantastic and total lights out at night was amazing- next to no light pollution ! We just relaxed, toured skyline drive and discovered so many great local places. The amenities were well maintained and did i mention the view? ??!! It was a great stay and we hope to return in the future. Thank you!
