We had a pleasant stay even with the Corona virus threat upon us (the stress took away a little from the enjoyment but it could have been worse I guess).
The property is absolutely breathtaking, we walked the beach, kayaked, swam, played in the water. Had breakfast and watched the sunset on the upper deck and had wine listening to the waves from the lower deck.
The owner and property manager were very easy to communicate with and very responsive.
The only negative that I can think of is the little creatures (no see ums) that come out at night. No matter how much insect repellent we used, we still got bitten hard. But that's nature, no fault to the owners.
Ate dinner in town a few nights, we found it quite expensive, but really nice restaurants. Keep in mind that to any of them you have at least 20-30 minutes drive , on the left side of the road, probably in the dark.
We recommend this property to anyone that is seeking peace, serenity and unforgettable views. It was truly a vacation in Paradise. Thank you Barbara for sharing your house with us! We hope to go back one day.

We loved our stay at Blue Bahia, Barbara was just delightful to deal with. The house is beautifully decorated, the view is incredible!!!! Comfy beds, very clean, well equipped kitchen, loved the deck off the upper porch, had breakfast out there many mornings. We kayaked & snorkeled around Ten Bay. We took a FISHBONE Adventure Tour with Julius(Capt Bubba) and Chubby, 4 hours of fun education,and laughs! Be sure to stay and have Fish Tacos.....so fresh.
No better way to retire than at Blue Bahia, it was so much fun to be there, it's so beautiful. We loved the birds outside our windows, the little tree frogs that were around. We saw a sting ray gliding through the shallow waters. Will definitely be back to Blue Bahia . Thank you for sharing your home Barbara & Luci!
Unparalleled, Incredible Outdoor Spaces!

This was our 4th trip to Eleuthera, and Blue Bahia by far had the best outdoor spaces of any home we've stayed in!
The best features are the 2 palapas, specifically, the one right at the shore. Having a dedicated shaded area to relax right at the water is essential, especially during the hotter times of the year! The upstairs palapa makes for an incredible "observation deck" and a lovely place to eat!
Ten Bay Beach is one of our favorites, but we know it can be "crowded" compared to many of the other beaches in Eleuthera (you can expect that there will always be at least 5-10 people accessing the public part of the beach). But what was so lovely about Blue Bahia, is that it is tucked behind a little bluff, and you can't even see the home from the public part of the beach.
Blue Bahia is definitely located in THE MOST desirable location in all of Ten Bay, in our opinion!
The bluff also does an excellent job of creating a privacy barrier between the house on the right (when facing the water). However, the neighbors to the left are VERY close!
Barbara said the home is usually not rented, and she was correct, no one was there when we stayed (BUT, there were people there fixing up the house, so it looks like it will be rented more frequently in the future.) For most people, this is probably a non-issue. But if you are looking for complete privacy, (sunbathing topless, showering outside, etc.) this might not be the location for you.
The kitchen, living area, and screened in porch (such a WONDERFUL feature to be able to enjoy being outside without the threat of no-see-ums!) are all located upstairs. This was no issue for us, but you should note the inside stairs are a VERY narrow spiral staircase. We found them cumbersome, so we opted to use the outdoor stairs almost exclusively.
Another reviewer mentioned that the beds were not the most comfortable, and I would have to agree.
It was pretty rainy/cool on our visit, so we did not need to utilize many beach towels, but we noticed that compared to previous homes we've stayed in, the number of beach towels available was pretty small. Of course, a washer and dryer are available, but more towels could help!
As someone who relies heavily on reviews, you will note I gave a thorough review here, but even the "cons" that I felt obligated to provide were very minor in the scheme of things.
Overall, we were very pleased with our stay and would ABSOLUTELY return!
Blue Bahia is truly paradise

My husband and I just had an amazing stay at Blue Bahia. There is no way to describe this slice of heaven accurately. Barbara’s home was warm, clean, well kept, comfortable, well appointed, and the perfect place to relax and unwind. Barbara herself was attentive and responsive from beginning to end, and her caretaker, Daniel, was a warm and welcoming friend to start and end the visit with.
We had our own private paradise for the week. The bay water was an incredible turquoise, crystal clear, calm and inviting. You can wade right in, kayak, snorkel, walk down the secluded sandy beach, or lay in the warm sand with hardly any other people. You feel safe and welcomed by everyone you meet along the way. Sunrise coffee and sunset beverages on the upper deck….like I said, Heaven. We highly recommend not just this PERFECT location, but this specific property. It has everything you would want, in a location you’ll never forget. Thank you Barbara for an AWESOME BAHAMIAN EXPERIENCE!!! Happy New Year!!
