Myers Cave Resort is a historic, instagrammable property located 2.5 hours from Toronto, 2 hours from Ottawa and 3 hours from Montreal. The main lodge has 7 rooms and can accommodate groups of 18; with an adjacent suite for 4. All our charming cottages, with scenic decks where you can just relax or barbecue, can sleep 6. Our sandy beach property also has an outdoor temperature-regulated swimming pool and hot tub. Myers Cave Resort is a fully-renovated lodge and cottages with private beach access, stunning lake views and chic amenities. We are looking forward to welcoming you.

Who We Are & What We Believe In
Fifteen years ago we started a search for who we are and what we believe in. Our story is not different from many people who went searching for the pot of gold, only to realize that the pot of gold was actually in their backyard. We travelled, and spent the best years of our lives looking for more; we lived a stress-filled heavy work life away from every beauty that nature had to offer. We chased pot of gold after pot of gold, never reaching that moment of happiness that we hoped for. Our search took us around the world where we lived every form of luxury that a person can dream of. We sipped coffee with gold dust rimmed-cups, and drank wines from goblets with diamond studs. One day, we looked at that life that we lived, and felt empty at heart. And so a new search began.

The History Behind The Resort
The name of the resort follows the mystery of Myers Cave which has been researched and written about extensively. The Telegram headline in July, 1960 (attached below) mentions the Cave with the Silver Lining. Myers Cave Resort is a unique Lodge as it was built in 1892 but has been completely renovated and remodeled using the original structure to accommodate all the modern conveniences for the 21st century executives. It is a two and a half stories building with a stone foundation and frame construction. It sits on 5 acres of rolling landscape with dense woods, grass fields, steep rocks, and access to the sandy beach on Marble Lake and the rapids on the east.

Milestone Birthday and Family Gathering a Success!

I booked the lodge, suite, and the two winterized cottages for a long week-end with close family to celebrate a milestone birthday. We were around 20 people and had a great time, and really enjoyed the large dining area. We spent time outside around the campfire, and walked the nice property. Our hosts were accommodating and the kids got to watch the Christmas lights being illuminated on one of the evenings that we were there, and there was free popcorn, hot chocolate and candy handed out at this lights ceremony. The living area was great for the kids to hang out, they liked the pool table, and the wifi was strong enough to accommodate their needs ;) The cottages offered privacy and serenity to our guests that wanted peace and quiet. The Riverview cottage had a nice location right by the river with the sound of the water rushing by. The loft room and living space upstairs in the lodge was also a really nice area to escape to when needed. It was all self-catering of course, and I feel like some of the appliances, kitchen implements, and bbq could use an update at the lodge especially for a group our size, but the place and property were great overall. The sky was dark and clear and we could see lots of stars and satellites. The hosts were there when we needed help with anything. Note that there was no cell signal for many of us, but that can be a good thing. My son and I managed to get in a canoe ride as the lake was not fully frozen over, which was really pleasant, and I was grateful that the hosts accommodated us doing that so late in the season. The hot tub was appreciated as well, and was really nice to bathe out in the cool weather. Overall, it was a successful gathering enjoyed by all. Thanks Mike and Nawar!…

No privacy or security but everything else was above expectations

Mike was a great host from before we even arrived he accommodated every request. The lake view cottage was clean and had many accessories to completely enjoy the space. The view was gorgeous. The only down side which is a huge one for us is that there were no curtains or locks on the doors. No privacy and zero security especially overnight travelling with children. I couldn’t sleep at all while being there as I was afraid that someone would come in while we were asleep as they could see right into the cottage at all times. For that reason I would never go back despite all of the positives.

Exceptional experience

I booked Myers Cave Resort with family and friends for the Thanksgiving weekend. The initial plan was to disconnect and recharge and keeping low expectations. Since our arrival we were welcomed by the amazing hosts/owners (now friends) Mike and Nawar. They showed us around and explained all amenities, activities and facilities. By the time we reached our lake front cottage, we were extremely surprised by the welcome setting in the cottage, full bed linen, towels, complimentary coffee and tea and a nice chocolate. And for the next 3 days our schedule was charged with memorable activities such as sunrise photography walks, kayaking, visit to bon echo Park, private barbecue, swimming in a private temperature controlled pool, star ???? gazing while relaxing in an outdoor hot tub etc. I highly recommend to try this gem. I will surely be back. …
