One of the great hidden features of Kona Bali Kai, the reef and tide pool, is right before your eyes. We've spent many hours observing the teeming life in this wonderful marine habitat. Previous guests have reported sightings of whales and sea turtles from the lanai. When evening approaches you return to your island getaway and back to the lanai to enjoy a spectacular sunset. With luck and a clear horizon you may spot the elusive 'green flash.' It will be hard to say Aloha to all this at the end of your visit. But, remember, Aloha means, 'until we meet again.

Payment Methods
Credit card payments are not accepted. Direct Bank Deposit, Wire Transfer, Personal Cheque. (Available for guests booking 7 or more days prior to arrival) , Zelle
Booking Deposit
The booking is confirmed with a deposit of 200.00 USD.
Payment Balance
Balance of payment is due 45 days prior to arrival.
Cancellation Policy
If you cancel anytime, payments (less a 25 USD administration fee) are refunded if the property is re-rented. Payments, minus a $25 admin fee, will be refunded only if the owners are able to rebook the unit for the full time initially reserved.
Security or Damage Deposit
A refundable security/damage deposit of 200.00 USD is due immediately.

Smoking Policy
Smoking/Vaping is not allowed inside or outside (applies to all occupants & guests).
Quiet Time Policy
There is no specific quiet time policy, though guests are asked to be respectful of all neighbors.
Children Policies
Our unit is a studio so there is not space for children. We love children, so we are sorry about this.
Group & Min. Age Policies
There are group or minimum age requirements. Adult guests must be 21 years or older., Allow groups of families or couples., Maximum of 2 adults and 1 infant.
Pets are not allowed due to bylaws/regulations/policies. NOTE: Persons traveling with and requiring a Service Animal have special rights and must be granted access regardless.
Cleaning on Departure
A fee is charged for Cleaning on Departure One-time fee of $125.00 USD for stays of any number of nights or occupants. If property is left in unreasonable condition, extra cleaning fee will apply.
Cleaning During Stay
There is no cleaning/maid service provided during your stay. Possible additional service may be obtained through the front desk.

Unfortunately our plan for our stay at Kona Bali Kai did not happen as there was a flood from the unit upstairs which damaged our reserved unit and couldn’t be repaired by the time we were to arrive . But we will say as to the situation and how it was addressed from the owners standpoint that it was professional and they let us know and gave us a notice so we could find other options. Unfortunately my wife then became ill which made it impossible to travel . Bummer since it was our long planned 50th Anniversary that we so looked forward to . But life happens (John Lennon) and we still are thankful We have each other to share our memories on the mainland . Yes based on our booking experience with Owner Direct and the condo owners of the unit we were booked at I would recommend them both.

This studio is just feet from the ocean, close enough to watch turtles from the corner lanai. It's the perfect spot to relax and unwind on vacation in Kona.

This place is centrally located and near Kona center where there is tons of shopping and restaurants..the view from the lanai is AMAZING!! Just as good as any premium hotel with less cost..the condo is a bit dated but the view you get makes up for it..there is a full kitchen stocked with everything you need..full bathroom with a stand up shower and the bedroom and living area in one room..the owners were in direct contact with us the entire time and if we had any issues or concerns they were addressed immediately!! I cant wait to stay here again..they will certainly be the first people we contact when we come back to the Big Island..I highly recommend checking this condo out!! Thank you for letting us stay here!!
