Description
Find yourself In a totally serine environment with a swimming lake fed by two fresh water springs with a diving dock. A wood fired sauna (a small wood and cleaning fee additional). Within a short walking distance you have access to the mountains to sea trail. The Hebron falls loop is a short walk to the trail head and is not to be missed!!! The 1 bedroom private apartment apt features all brand new appliances, this is a unique one of a kind spot that must be shared!
The space
This space is located on the lower level of the main house, it has one bedroom with USB ports in the lamps, closet with hangers and shelving, storage under the bed for luggage etc. A full kitchen with all the necessarys including brand new gas range with double oven and brand new fridge pots and pans glasses, utensils etc! The bathroom is lg with tub, shower and countertop space. A full size washer, dryer iron and ironing board. A comfortable couch. When needed there is a blow up queen mattress if more than three guests.
Some works of local artists are part of the decor and some pics might be available for purchase online. There is a set of vintage encyclopedia britânica for the inquisitive and some books to read. Wifi access, TV has Roku with Netflix, amazon prime etc etc!!! You can choose your own mood with remote controlled fire feature and heating. Teas and coffee is provided please bring milk or cream!!!

Access is available thru a private entrance located on the lower leval a short walk down the stairs to the left follow the path all the way to the lower deck thru the door is a mudroom please leave shoes or boots here and use provided new fresh slippers. The door on the left has a keypad please enter code and welcome yourself into a warm comfortable space!!! The main house upstairs is occupied private and not accessible!!! Ashir is the house dog he is super friendly he will probably come to say hi and loves to go on hikes.

Sauna tips and rules:
Starting the fire to heat the sauna, if you paid a fee, the fire box is located outside the sauna it should be full and ready to light!
If not paid a fee you will have needed to purchase wood in town or brought your own it could take up to an hour to ready the sauna. Once lit open the door to let any initial smoke out of the sauna space about five mins if needed. Then close the door to keep the heat in. Let the fire burn till the smoke is gone and check the temp gauge approx 140-180* is good operating temperature. Exceeding 180* is not recommended as this becomes extreme temperature. You could get sauna burns, looking like red blotches on the skin (ask me how I know this)!!! You don’t need higher temperatures to get the detox benefits!!!
Do not surpass your limits it is preferred to have two people while in the sauna. This is for safety reasons, it is possible to pass out although rare it could happen! Listen to your body! It is not recommended to use the sauna while intoxicated due to potential dehydration.... drink plenty of water and use common sense!!!
The Sauna is an experience and a detox at the same time. Certain toxins can only be sweated out of the body no diet or healthy regime will rid toxins locked up in adipose tissue like a proper sweat! Respect your body’s limits and make sure you are hydrating with water a lot during your sweat.
To increase the power of the heat you can go from dry to humid just by adding water to the rocks, do it slowly.... this will feel like the heat has doubled, then grab your towel and spin it around as to circulate the air from the top to the bottom then relax and sweat it out.
Once you start to feel to hot leave the space (be sure to keep the door closed at all times) and go jump into the lake swim back and do it again!!!
I find three sessions works the best for me!
Your skin will feel amazing and invigorated from the contrast of hot, to taking the plunge!!!
The colder the water is the better, and the more invigorating... The ice plunge is the ultimate hot to cold experience!!!!
